Mum Love Meets the Founders of Mothr

Last week, Mum Love had the pleasure of meeting the brilliant founders of Mothr, Lauren and Michelle, for a conversation that quickly became something much bigger: a shared vision for change.

From the very beginning, it was clear that our teams are deeply aligned. We are all working towards the same goal: helping mothers feel seen, supported and equipped through one of the biggest identity shifts of their lives.

Why this conversation mattered

Although Mothr and Mum Love are based in different countries, our missions are strikingly similar. Both brands are creating resources for mothers that go beyond surface-level support.

Our focus is not just on parenting, but also on the emotional, psychological and identity changes that come with motherhood.

That shared belief made the conversation feel instantly natural.

We spoke about how often motherhood is treated as a purely medical or logistical transition, when in reality it is also a profound personal evolution. Too often, mothers are left without the language to explain what they are feeling, or the right resources to help them move forward.

That is the gap both teams are determined to close.

What we discovered we share

Several themes came up again and again:

  • Identity matters. Motherhood is not just about the body or the baby — it is about who a woman becomes in the process.

  • Resources are essential. Mothers need trusted, accessible support, rather than confusing or overwhelming information.

  • Language changes everything. When women have the words to describe what they are experiencing, they can ask for help sooner and with greater confidence.

  • Community is powerful. Sharing stories and creating connection helps mothers feel less alone.

We also loved learning more about Mothr’s approach, including its curated resource library, original practitioner guides and pulse-check tool, which is built around body, mind, community and identity.

Their thinking is thoughtful, modern and deeply needed.

Where the collaboration could go

The meeting opened up some exciting possibilities for collaboration.

One of the biggest opportunities is a joint awareness campaign focused on motherhood and identity — bringing together data, lived experience, expert insight and practical resources.

We also discussed sharing tools and content, cross-promoting resources and building a stronger global network of support for mothers.

There was even conversation around the possibility of a workshop or wider alliance-style event in the future, bringing together experts and founders working across this space.

The idea is simple: by combining our voices, we can reach more mothers and make a greater impact.

A shared mission

What stood out most was the energy in the room. Everyone came with passion, openness and a genuine commitment to doing things differently.

Mum Love was created because motherhood deserves better conversations, better support and better understanding. Meeting the founders of Mothr reminded us that this mission is not ours alone — it is part of a growing movement.

We are excited to keep building, collaborating and pushing the conversation forward.

Because when mothers are supported, everyone benefits.

What’s next?

We are looking forward to continuing the conversation with Mothr in the coming weeks and exploring how our platforms can work together in a meaningful way.

More to come soon.

For now, we are simply grateful for the connection — and hopeful about what can happen when women-led brands come together with a shared purpose.
