Things I’ve learned a few weeks in

1. Baby clothes are bloody annoying

2. Elvie pumps are shit

3. Your boobs will be super painful and engorged if breastfeeding

4. Women’s health is not prioritised post birth

5. It’s lovely receiving flowers but you’ll run out of vases

6. No one sends you 0-3 month clothes so your baby will be dressed in stuff that’s too big for them

7. Reusable nappies and wipes are actually easy to use. You’re going to be washing so much anyway

8. Handing over your baby to lots of people is my preferred way

9. Combi feeding gives you the opportunities for breaks and sharing the feeding load and most importantly SLEEP

10. BE CHILL – babies really pick up on stressy energy. Don’t give a f*CK about the small stuff

11. Go back to work if you want

12. Your instincts are usually right

13. You can drink and breastfeed
